St. Joan's Convent

Welcome to St. Joan's Convent

Named after Joan of Arc, a national heroine of France and a Roman Catholic saint she led the French army to several important victories during the hundred year war. She was captured by the Burgundians, sold to the English, tried by an ecclesiastical court, and burned at the stake when she was 19 years old. It was only in 1920 after about 450 years of her supreme sacrifice, that she was finally canonized as St. Joan of arc. Her undying spirit to “Serve the Nation” is the motto thus adopted by St. Joan’s Convent. Her unmoved devotion and selfless patriotism continue to provide encouragement and motivation
